Remote File Access

If you are using a PC with Windows XP then you can use Microsoft Web Folders to access your files in the following way.

• Open My Network Places
• Under Network Tasks click Add a network place
• When the Add Network Place Wizard is displayed click the Next > button
• When prompted for Where do you want to create this network place? ensure that Choose another network location is highlighted and then click the Next > button
• When prompted for What is the address of this network place? in the Internet or network address box enter https://netstorage.pwf.cam.ac.uk/webdav and then click the Next > button
• When prompted for a User name and Password enter your PWF username and password and then click the OK button
• When prompted for What do you want to name this place? enter a suitable name and then click the Next > button
• When reminded of the information that you have entered click the Finish button
• When prompted for a User name and Password check your PWF username is correct and enter your PWF password
