The Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to connect to the University's network when you are away from the University. When you are connected, you can access services as if you were actually on the University network. You may need this connection to access some of the legal databases.

Setting up access to the VPN depends on what device you are using. The UIS has several pages that will help you connect, the most common ones are shown below. Note that some of the instructions refer to setting up institution specific connections but these are for staff only. You just need to use the general 'Cambridge' connection.
