The UIS has issued a notice about a scam email that you should be aware of:
A scam email campaign is currently being targeted at students.
It appears to be a version of the phishing scam we’ve seen in previous years, in which students are offered a part-time job. The scammers have modified their approach by sending a short message first, often without a subject heading, and only sending the full details once a user has responded to express interest via a personal email address.
Please warn your students and advise them not to respond to unsolicited offers of employment.
We’ve prepared some resources you can use to warn users about fake job scams, including website banners, digital signage, and printable posters. See our resource page.
