The primary method of recording lectures is via Panopto but in certain circumstances, Microsoft Teams or Zoom can be used.

Panopto

Panopto is specifically designed for lecture recording so it has the capability to record video via a camera, audio via a microphone, presentations via Powerpoint, computer screen content and text captions. Playback presents all these sources in an interface that is easy to use. The lecture theatres at Law have all these capabilities and works well with Panopto.

Microsoft Teams and Zoom

Teams and Zoom are used for lecture recording when there are participants attending remotely. They treat the lecture as if it were a meeting and has the capability to record camera inputs and PC screen content. They can also be used in meeting rooms when the host uses their own laptops.
